Listening to podcasts is a great way to learn new skill and stay up to date on the world. Since 2015, I have been listening to podcasts every week. Now, in my podcast app, I subscribe to 50+ podcasts. Below are some that I highly recommend.

The Tim Ferriss Show

Tim Ferriss is an entrepreneur, investor, non-fiction author, and podcast host. I’m a huge fan of Tim Ferriss and have been following his work since 2015. His podcast, books, and blog posts influenced my thinking and perspectives on career, health, and relationships in a significant way.

In each episode, Tim interviews a guest for one to two hours. His guests come from a variety of fields, e.g., business, investing, sports, public sector, authors, game design, magic, medicine, Hollywood, etc. I love how deep Tim goes in each interview to paint a full picture of a person, from their strengths, weaknesses, successes, way of thinking, to failures. His goal is to tease out the practical advice that you can use in your own life.

While some may say that this is a business podcast, I’d say it’s about a lot more than that. Because Tim’s guests came from all imaginable fields, a long-time listener can really learn about how successful people think and work. If you want an entry point, I’d recommend #124 – Jamie Foxx and #357 – Susan Cain.

WSJ What’s News

WSJ is a great source of news about business, the economy, politics, technology and other topics focusing on the US. I have been listening to the WSJ podcast every week for years now. The quality of their reporting is consistently impressive.

Masters of Scale with Reid Hoffman

Reid Hoffman is an entrepreneur and venture capitalist. He’s most well-known for co-founding LinkedIn, the largest professional social network. As the name suggests, this podcast focuses on the stories behind building and scaling companies. Reid was a start-up founder himself, so he really knows how to ask the right questions to bring the story to light.

You can start with #34 & #35. The Reid Hoffman Story: Make everyone a hero and #46. Make it epic, w/will.i.am

There are so many other podcasts by great thinkers and hosts. If you have other podcasts, feel free to send them my way.
